RESOBOX World Amigurumi Exhibit Vol. 2

Wow! It’s been more than a year since I last posted! There’s definitely lots of catching up to do. So sorry for the long lapse as I’ve gotta admit it’s quite a challenge to juggle between all the social medias, work and orders . But for “more regular updates” (I try to) 🙂 , you can find them at my Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/krokrolamb/ or my Instagram @krokrolamb

So for the next few days I’ll be posting some of my works that haven’t made it to the blog yet.

Remember RESOBOX’s World Amigurumi Exhibit? I participated again last year and here’s my themed piece for RESOBOX’s World Amigurumi Exhibit vol. 2! We were asked to create a piece that represents our country and our culture, so please meet Levi the Lion. You can read more about him below 🙂

However, recent studies show that it wasn’t a lion that he saw, but a Malayan tiger! Nevertheless, the #lion remains a national symbol, ranging from being used as a coat of arms to the ever popular #Merlion.

RESOBOX World Amigurumi Exhibition and Black Friday Sale!

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since my last post as I’ve been so busy crocheting my amigurumi dolls for a very special event and also for an upcoming Christmas Bazaar. I’m excited to share with you that Krokrolamb is honoured to be invited by RESOXBOX Gallery to be part of the World Amigurumi Exhibition along with many other talented amigurumi artists around the world! The exhibition will be at Long Island City, NY from December 12, 2014 – February 28, 2015.

Here’s a little info about the Exhibit

Beginning December 12, 2014, Resobox Gallery will be exhibiting 3,000 amigurumi contributed by over 130 artists from 33 different countriesResobox Gallery wants to turn the space into an “amigurumi room”, filled to the brim with cuddly and cute handmade creatures. This is a unique exhibition in that it’s not highlighting an individual artist, but a concept. The concept, amigurumi, is a culture that began in Japan, but is now cherished by crocheters and knitters all over the world. Resobox Gallery was so inspired by the amount of amigurumi artists out there that they decided to embark on a journey to create an exhibition showcasing the united, global love of this cute craft.

PLUS, all of these wonderful handmade amigurumi will be for sale! Great for Christmas, New Year’s, and Valentine’s Day gifts for all ages.

You can read more about the exhibition HERE.

So if you’re in New York, do drop by as it’ll definitely be the cutest exhibition ever!
